Who Should I Inform That My Supplier Is the Bill of Lading's Consignee?

Your supplier might query you regarding the consignee listed on the bill of lading for your shipment

The format for supplying the consignee and the consignee's contact information is as follows. They will want the consignee's legal business name and legal business address.

Describe a consignee

When the cargo is released at the destination, ownership of the products will pass to this party. A bill of lading must include the consignee's name.

An ultimate consignee is?

This is the party who will receive a package in its entirety. The consignee is frequently the same person as the final consignee.

For instance, if your company is registered in the United States and you are shipping to Amazon, you will be identified as the ultimate consignee since, when the shipment is released at the destination, you as the Amazon shipper will become the owner of the items.

The ultimate consignee for a foreign importer must be a U.S. company.

Amazon can serve as the final consignee if you ship to Amazon U.S. as a foreign importer (importing without a U.S. corporation or presence). Use your allocated Amazon fulfillment facility as your company address.

Why is my supplier questioning me about the Notify Party?

A Notify Party, or the party who should be alerted about the arrival of the goods, may be requested by your provider.

Multiple Notify Parties may be listed on a bill of lading, but only one is necessary. If you're unsure of who the notify party is, declare yourself to be that party.
