Atlanta trucking to Amazon FBA warehouses
Due to the snow and bad weather, certain delivery appointments were postponed at Atlanta fulfillment centers, and these centers may still be experiencing delays as they try to clear backlogs.
While awaiting the next delivery date, items might need to be stored. Pallet storage costs are calculated each week.
LA
Given that ONT8's current wait durations range from three to six hours, delivery to Amazon might be subject to a transportation wait fee. This is possible even if a shipment has a delivery appointment because waiting in line to check in at the Amazon fulfillment center adds to the trucker's wait time.
Because Amazon has recently imposed limitations on how early trucks may arrive to make their appointment, truckers cannot arrive earlier to avoid huge waits. The truckers run the danger of being turned away if they show up too early.
Due to the high volume of truckers who deliver to ONT8 each day, any unloading issues or late arrivals have a negative ripple impact on Amazon delivery activities.
Dallas
Truckers are avoiding delivery to FTW1 in Dallas because of traffic jams in Houston and Dallas.
Delivery may be more expensive, and/or delivery appointments may be postponed, as fewer drivers are willing to deliver to FTW1. While awaiting the next delivery date, items might need to be stored.
