When shipping cargo via air, there are three main types of service available: express, standard, and deferred. The type of service that you choose will depend on the urgency of your shipment.
Express air service is the fastest and most expensive option. The cargo is put on a direct flight to its destination.
Standard air service is the most common option. The cargo may make one or two stops along the way, where it may switch planes or another cargo is loaded/unloaded.
Deferred air service is the cheapest option among air services but still more expensive than LCL (less than a container load) and it makes multiple stops along the route to its final destination.
It's important to note that when shipping air, an airline terminal fee will apply.
