Understand the requirements for importing goods into Australia and how to set up and ship to Amazon FBA warehouses there
Bringing goods into Australia
If you want to import goods into Amazon FBA Australia but don't already have a business or presence there, you can either:
- Import as a foreign entity.
- Sign up for GST and an ABN (Australian Business Number) (goods and services tax).
Keep in mind that you cannot get your GST back if you import as a foreign corporation.
You can apply online for both a GST registration and an ABN at the same time. For the ABN application, you will need to show documentation of your identification if you don't have a TFN (tax file number).
The following information is required for importation into Australia:
- Packing List for Commercial Invoice Packing Declaration (identifying whether approved materials have been used as dunnage and pallets).
- Authentication of Origin (if the goods are made and exported from a Free Trade Agreement country).
- Any wood product, pallet, or packing must comply with Australian standards for wood products and wood packaging, and this is the importer's responsibility.

- The Manage Inventory page allows you to choose the item you want to ship.
Note: Create a single shipment plan for all SKUs you wish to ship. There is no requirement to segment shipment plans by SKU.
Amazon may divide your cargo into more fulfillment locations than necessary if you segregate them by SKU.
- From the drop-down menu, pick Send/Replete Inventory.
- Decide: Make a new shipping strategy.
- Select the Ship From address.
Note: The address listed under "Ship From" is the Beeontrade facility from which your package will be picked up and sent to an Amazon fulfillment center.
- Click Execute shipment plan to continue.
- Complete steps 2 through 6 before moving on to step 2 of Amazon's shipment creation process.
It should be noted that LTL (Less than Truckload) and SPD (Small Parcel Delivery) options are not yet offered by Amazon-partnered carriers for Amazon Australia.
Your shipment will be transported directly from the Beeontrade-partnered warehouse to the FBA warehouse (by individual truck).
After scheduling your shipment with Beeontrade, grant your operations team restricted access to Amazon Seller Central so Beeontrade can download FBA and pallet labels as necessary and enter any data required to speed up your shipping.
Keep in mind that a professional Seller Central account is the only need for sharing access.
To do this, adhere to the following guidelines:
You can track your shipment on the carrier's website by entering the PRO# number found on the shipping bill of lading.
We will submit the signed trucking bill of lading into the "Documents" area after the carrier picks up the shipment.
